Summer FAQS, 2021 Dates Announced & More

Hi Friends! In case you missed all of our COVID-19 updates and our latest release statement, please click here! Here’s a quick review of the current update as of June 30, 2020:

  • Overnight sessions for 2020 cancelled
  • Day camp still happening for sessions 4-8 only (sessions 1-3 removed)
  • Adding a Day Pack program exclusively for grades 6-10th for sessions 4-8
  • We’re asking for all campers to bring a mask to camp. See our COVID-19 updates page for details.
  • All Day Camp and Day Pack sessions are officially on a wait list.
    • Feel free to add your child to the wait list if not already enrolled.
    • Your card will not be charged unless we call you and are able to get your child into the session.

While we are so excited to launch a full-blown Day Camp and Day Pack program this summer, we are going to miss all that comes along with Overnight camp. Thank you for your patience and understanding with us, as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times.

Updated 2020 Dates and Rates

Day Camp Sessions (Rising K-5th)

Day Camp will be the exact same format that it has always been. Rising K-5th grade.

2020 Day Camp Sessions Offered:

Session 4: July 6-10, 2020 (Super-Duper Superheros)

Session 5: July 13-17, 2020 (Around the World)

Session 6: July 20-24, 2020 (Space is the Place)

Session 7: July 27-31, 2020 (Christmas in July)

Session 8: August 3-7, 2020 (Journey through the Jungle)

Day Pack Sessions (Rising 6-10th)

Day Pack is a new program we’re offering exclusively for 2020! For rising grades 6-10th.

If your camper is enrolled for a 2020 Overnight session, you have several options on how to handle your payments:

  1. Move enrollment to one of our Day Camp or Day Pack sessions
  2. Register for 2021 and roll forward payments to 2021
  3. Move enrollment to Vertex Fall Retreat (for 6-12th graders only as of 2020-2021 school season)
  4. Donate your payments to our ministry (they’re tax deductible!)
  5. Request a refund

Use our submission form to let us know how to proceed. We will handle all requests in the order in which they were received.

Yes, depending on how you’d like to move forward with enrollment. See the question above for your options.

Yes! We would love to get your child registered for 2021 early. You’ll receive an early-bird 10% discount when you enroll. You just have to select a placeholder date, which you can change at anytime through the year by contacting our team. Please complete the submission form to request.

Please know that refunds will be dispersed as funds are available. Nearly all of the deposits that we receive over the year are used to pay bills throughout the off-season, prepare for summer programming, recruit summer staff etc.

You will receive a confirmation email once your refund has been processed to the card on file.

Yes! For 2021 only, we are allowing all rising 11th graders to attend since they are missing their rising 10th grade summer this year.

Yes! We’re hosting an awesome weekend retreats this fall. We are happy to move your child’s enrollment/payments to this fall date. Complete the submission form to request.

September 11-13, 2020: Vertex Retreat

  • For 6-12th graders for the 2020-2021 school year
  • Cost: $125/pp

This will depend on what selection you made on the submission form. Please complete that form and we will reach out to you after we review your account.

If you were registered for an overnight session, and have a credit on your account after moving to a day session, we will reach out to you to know how you’d like that handled. The options for any credit will be: donate, refund, or apply to 2021.

Yes, absolutely. Complete the submission form to select which sessions you’d like to enroll in.

Yes! We can’t imagine a summer without Week of Joy! We will just be offering the Day Camp or Day Pack option only, no overnight option.
